I have a garden maternity session that I am so excited to share with you today. We headed to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia. Despite the gloomy weather, we had a great time exploring the beautiful gardens together and documenting their sweet family.
This session was all about capturing the deep connection within this family, with a special emphasis on the bond between this mama and her son. It was heartwarming to witness their interactions and capture those precious moments that they’ll cherish forever. During maternity sessions, I especially focus on the mom’s connection with her older children. You know how strongly I feel about motherhood and documenting it in all of its forms. There is something profound about purposefully capturing the bond moms have with their kids, especially as they prepare to welcome a new little one.
I always ask my clients what they want to remember about their children or their family in twenty years. This mama shared that she wanted to remember the way her son giggles when she looks back. It’s these little moments of joy that make life so beautiful, and I’m honored to capture them for her.
The Norfolk Botanical Gardens holds a special place in their hearts because they often visit as a family.
